Monique Morin joined Billington Barristers in July 2009. Ms. Morin was admitted to the Alberta Bar on August 10, 2009. She brings experience in Municipality Law, particularly relating to the rights of Municipalities to extraordinary remedies, including injunctions and receiverships. She also brings a background in Environmental matters.

Since joining Billington Barristers, Ms. Morin’s trial experience has included an oil and gas trial involving the interpretation of a freehold mineral lease, and the remedies that are available when an operator deliberately continues producing from freehold property after the lease has been terminated by default. She has also appeared in a commercial trial for a property developer where the Court directed that a trial against our firm’s client be halted. In that case, the trial judge accepted Billington Barristers’ submission that proceedings were an abuse of process.
